Several members of Virginia’s Signature Theatre cast of the new musical version of Freaky Friday were among those in the recording studio this week creating a studio cast album that is scheduled to be released March 10, 2017, on Walt Disney Records.
Heidi Blickenstaff and Emma Hunton originated their roles as the mother and daughter, respectively, who trade bodies for a day, in the world-premiere staging at the Signature. They will reprise those roles at San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse January 31–March 12, 2017, in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.
