The Manhattan Theatre Club’s New York premiere of Qui Nguyen’s Vietgone, with direction by May Adrales, officially opened October 25. Inspired by the playwright’s own life, the story is billed as a “modern twist” on the all-American love story—about two refugees from the Vietnam War who are newly settled in a relocation camp in Middle America.
