Laura Benanti, Jane Krakowski, Zachary Levi and cast members from Fiddler on the Roof and She Loves Me were attendance for the unveiling.
On May 11 the Commissioner of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, Julie Menin, read a letter from the mayor transforming 53rd Street (between Broadway and Eighth Avenue) to “Harnick and Bock Way,” as both the current Broadway revivals of Fiddler on the Roof at the Broadway Theatre and She Loves Me at Studio 54 share stage-door exits on West 53rd Street.
Sheldon Harnick and the late Jerry Bock composed the award-winning scores to both musicals. Harnick were also inducted into the Ride of Fame today.
