Classic Arts News Pianist Radu Lupu to Cut North American Tour Short Pianist Radu Lupu has canceled the last two weeks of his current North American tour in order to undergo minor surgery, his agent confirmed.
Lupu will miss scheduled concerts with Ottawa's National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra between February 8 and 19. He is still scheduled to perform in four concerts with the Cleveland Orchestra at Carnegie Hall at the beginning of February, a representative of the hall said.

Yuja Wang will step in for Lupu in the NAC Orchestra concerts on February 8 and 9; Janina Fialkowska will replace him on the Toronto Symphony's program for February 12 and 13; and Peter Serkin will replace him in the National Symphony Orchestra's concerts on February 17, 18, and 19.
