News Pinkalicious to Play Limited New World Stages Engagement The musical Pinkalicious will make a New York return for a limited engagement at New World Stages beginning Jan. 12, 2008.

Following productions at the Vital Theatre Company and Soho Rep this past year, the children's musical will run through Feb. 10, 2008.

Based on the popular children's book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, Pinkalicious features book and lyrics by the Kann sisters with a score, orchestrations and additional lyrics by John Gregor. Teresa K. Pond will direct.

"Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents," press materials state. "Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament."

Casting and further creative duties will be announced shortly. The musical is appropriate for children ages 4-12.

Pinkalicious begins previews Jan. 12 at New World Stages and will open the following day, Jan. 13. Performances take place Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 12 PM. Tickets are available by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
