News Pinkalicious Will Move to Cherry Lane; Musical Eyes Return to Recently Closed 45 Bleecker The Vital Theatre Company production of the children's musical Pinkalicious, which performed at the now-closed theatres at 45 Bleecker Street, will begin a two-week run at the Cherry Lane Theatre Oct. 24.

Pinkalicious was one of several productions, including Perfect Harmony and The Deep Throat Sex Scandal, left homeless after the landlord shuttered the venue Oct. 13. Litigation proceedings between the theatre owner and the landlord are keeping the theatre closed indefinitely.

According to a representative, the Vital Theatre Company is in talks with the building owner to return Pinkalicious to 45 Bleecker following the two-week Cherry Lane run. The goal is to also open Vital's new production of Angelina Ballerina at 45 Bleecker in January 2011, where the two productions would run in repertory.

In the interim, Pinkalicious will play its weekly 1 PM matinees Oct. 16, 17, 23 and 24 at the Cherry Lane. The company will also continue to offer programming at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre.

Perfect Harmony, which was scheduled to open Oct. 17, is in the process of finding a new home. A representative for the production offered the following statement: “The producers and company of Perfect Harmony are committed to the production and are exploring their options of moving Perfect Harmony to another space in the very near future."

The Deep Throat Sex Scandal has closed as a result of the lock-out. Pinkalicious features book and lyrics by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann and music, lyrics and orchestrations by John Gregor.

The Cherry Lane Theatre is located at 30 Commerce Street. For tickets visit PinkalicioustheMusical.
