The event, which begins at 6 PM and runs to 10 PM, will be held on Pier 54 at 14th Street. The official kick-off to New York's Gay Pride festivities is scheduled to feature performances by Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins, currently on Broadway in Radio Golf; Legally Blonde's Leslie Kritzer, who will be seen next season in A Catered Affair; comedian Kate Clinton; the Lavender Light Gospel Choir; and pop recording artist Chris Garneau. The Garden Party also features food from more than 25 city restaurants, who will offer sampling booths of their finest cuisine. Some of the restaurants taking part in the event include Artepasta, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Cube 63, Due Amici, Florent, Gonzo, Piola, Shrimpy's, Supermac, Swich and West Bank Café.

Tickets, priced $75 (center members) and $85 (non members), include restaurant fare, an open bar and the entertainment.
