News Pinkins Withdraws From June 14 Broadway By the Year: 1963 Concert Tonya Pinkins, who was Tony-nominated for her performance in Caroline, or Change, has withdrawn from the June 14 concert Broadway By the Year: 1963.

Scott Siegel, the producer and host of the series, told Playbill On-Line that Pinkins, who was originally announced to be part of the one-night-only event, has withdrawn due to the demands of her current Broadway role. Pinkins, said Siegel, regrets that she will not be able to be part of the concert. The cabaret critic-producer-host added that Pinkins' material would be picked up by the other performers. The last concert of the current Broadway By the Year season will salute the 1963 season. Among the performers singing tunes from that year on Broadway will be Taboo's Euan Morton as well as Nancy Anderson, Stephen Bogardus, Liz Callaway, Robert Cuccioli, Julia Murney and Noah Racey. Assassins' Marc Kudisch will direct the evening, which begins at 8 PM at Town Hall.

Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes from such musicals as Oliver!, She Loves Me, 110 in the Shade, The Girl Who Came to Supper and Tovarich. Siegel will also announce the line-up of shows for the 2005 Broadway By the Year series.
