News Piper Laurie, Constantine Maroulis, Cathy Rigby, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and More Walk the Carpet at Immersive Carrie See the starry opening of The Los Angeles immersive production of Carrie The Killer Musical Experience. The show returned Oct. 1, following its recently concluded, acclaimed run at the La Mirada Theatre. The cult thriller musical, based on Stephen King's best-selling novel of the same title, plays the Los Angeles Theatre.

Directed by Brady Schwind and choreographed by Lee Martino, the revival runs through Nov. 22.

The production, according to press notes, "takes the legendary musical off the stage and puts the audience right in the middle of the action, back in the rooms and hallways of high school and, of course, with a prime seat at the prom."

Based on the novel by Stephen King, Carrie features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the film), music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore and lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford.

The cast reunites much of the original from the La Mirada engagement, including Emily Lopez in the title role and Misty Cotton as her mother; they are joined by Carly Bracco, Adante Carter, Valerie Rose Curiel, Bryan Dobson, Kevin Patrick Doherty, Rachel Farr, Jennifer Foster, Jon Robert Hall, Jonah Ho’okano, Ian Littleworth, Lyle Colby Mackston, Garrett Marshall, Chris Meissner, Tiana Okoye, Jane Papageorge, Kayla Parker, Jenelle Lynn Randall, Amy Segal, Michael Starr, Kimberly Ann Steele and Victoria Strong. "Carrie has a mind-bending secret, and no one to share it with," press notes state. "When she's pushed too far, she turns a high school prom into a terrifying display of bullying gone wrong."

The production features musical direction by Brian P. Kennedy, flying sequence choreography by Paul Rubin, scenic design by Stephen Gifford, costume design by Adriana Lambarri, lighting design by Brian Gale, sound design by Cricket S. Myers, illusion design by Jim Steinmeyer, props design by Terry Hanrahan, hair design by Katie McCoy, casting by Michael Donovan CSA, associate direction by Christopher Adams-Cohen, marketing by creativeXs and publicity by Davidson & Choy Publicity and Matt Ross Public Relations.

The creative team also includes associate choreographer Jeremy Duvall, general manager McCoy Rigby Entertainment, company manager Niyia Mack, technical director Meredyth Mindte, production supervisor Buck Mason, production stage manager Lora K. Powell and assistant stage manager John “JP” Pollard.

The production is produced by Bruce Robert Harris and Jack W. Batman, The Transfer Group, Michael T. Cohen/Robin Reinach, Kraige Block and Joe Everett Michaels, in association with La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. The associate producers are Amy and Ralph Cetrulo. The executive producer is Sunnyspot Productions.
