News Pippin Is Big Winner of 2012-13 Outer Critics Circle Awards Winners of the 2012-13 Outer Critics Circle Awards were announced May 13. The critically acclaimed revival of Pippin, directed by Diane Paulus, earned seven awards, including Outstanding Revival of a Musical, the most of any production of the season.

Other productions that won multiple awards include Kinky Boots, which won three awards, and Matilda The Musical, My Name Is Asher Lev, The Nance and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which all won two awards apiece.

Judy Kaye, Audra McDonald, Michael McGrath, Donna Murphy and Tonya Pinkins will be presenters at the 63rd Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards ceremony, which will be held May 23 at 4 PM at Sardi's Restaurant.

The Outer Critics Circle is the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway.
