News Pirate Queen's Block Will Join Caruso at Birdland June 4 Jim Caruso & Friends . . . A One Man Show will be presented June 4 at Birdland.

Part of the Broadway at Birdland series, the evening is scheduled to begin at 7 PM. Singer-actor-comic-host Caruso will be joined by Johnny Rodgers on piano and vocals and special guest Stephanie J. Block, who is currently starring in the new Broadway musical The Pirate Queen. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear tunes by Johnny Mercer, Weird Al Yankovich, John Wallowitch, Fred Ebb, Carol Hall and Dave Frishberg. Caruso will also an homage to his "personal hero," Dick Van Dyke. Jim Caruso is the winner of four MAC Awards and two BackStage Magazine Bistro Awards. A founding member of the jazz vocal and comedy trio Wiseguys, Caruso's solo debut recording, "Caruso Live and in Person," is available on the LML Music label. He is also the host of the Monday-night Birdland series "Cast Party," which was honored with a New York Nightlife Award.
