The Gershwin Estate approved the musical celebration of the songwriters' work that will be directed by Ray Roderick. Pittsburgh CLO has partnered with Maximum Entertainment Productions and producers Daniel Chilewich and Todd Gershwin on the new show. 'S Wonderful will incorporate five mini-musicals based on real events in the Gershwins' lives to highlight their musical impact in the first half of the 20th century through today. The revue runs the gamut from New York City in 1916, to Paris in the 1930's, Hollywood in the 1940's and New Orleans in the 1950's.
Casting and creative duties will be announced shortly. 'S Wonderful will run June 17-Sept. 15.
