News Play What I Wrote to Finish in May

Producer David Pugh has announced that The Play What I Wrote, which has broken box office records during its hugely successful run at Wyndham's Theatre, is to close on May 5.

The idea is to give The Right Size team (Sean Foley and Hamish McColl) and their co-star Toby Jones a break, after a strenuous six months or so of their highly physical performances in the West End.

The Play What I Wrote is a tribute to Morecambe and Wise, the television double act who were a national institution in the 1960s and 1970s. It is planned to take the show to New York next year and then embark on a world tour.
