Playbill.com polled our readers via Facebook and Twitter to see who they would cast as Pippin in the new film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical.
Juhstin Rihmihres: I think box office wise it would be smart to use Hunter Parrish and since he was in Spring Awakening and Godspell, so he has Broadway respect too.
Maeve Riley: I'd say either Darren Criss or Hunter Parrish.
Parrish made his Broadway debut in 2008 as Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening and remained in the role until the show's closing in 2009. He starred in the 2011 Broadway revival of Godspell and left the cast in 2012 to film the final season of the Showtime original series "Weeds," in which he starred as Silas, the troubled son to stay-at-home mother turned drug dealer.
Zeek Smith: Aaron Tveit
Ariana Schonwald: Aaron Tveit because he gorgeous and an amazing singer.
Colleen Macfarland: Aaron Tveit
Annie Kathryn Zanchelli: Aaron Tveit! He is so talented and I think it's his chance to make it big!
Margaret Daisy Rose: Aaron Tveit. Please. Pretty please with jazz hands on top?
An alumni of Ithaca College, Tveit made his Broadway debut in 2006 as Link Larkin in Hairspray. He originated the role of Gabe in the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal, as well as the role of Frank Abignale Jr. in the stage adaptation of the hit movie Catch Me If You Can. He starred in the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables and is currently portraying the role of Mike Warren in the USA Network original series "Graceland."

Abby Reed: Matthew James Thomas of course.
L. Marie Martin: Matthew James Thomas
Kayleigh Downey: Matthew James Thomas!
Fabiana Marsiglia: Matthew James Thomas is perfect.

Gage Rancich: Matthew James Thomas. Why not? He's done screen stuff before and his singing and acting is phenomenal. Super nice guy too!
Jennifer Leary: Obviously Matthew James Thomas. He's an incredible Pippin
Thomas is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Pippin in the title role. He was the alternate for Reeve Carney in Julie Taymor's Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark and has starred in the films "Billy Elliot" and "About a Boy."
Rachel DeGraffenreid: Jeremy Jordan because boy can sang. And because boy can sang. And because boy can sang.
Laura Beth Dailey: Jeremy Jordan. After seeing him sing "Morning Glow" at the Kennedy Center, I know he can make the music soar, and his rising stardom will attract people to movie theaters.
Lea Passione: Aaron Tveit, Jeremy Jordon, or Darren Criss (Hands down).
A Tony Award nominee, Jordan is best known for originating the roles of Jack Kelley in Newsies and Clyde Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde, as well as starring in the television series "Smash" as tough-guy writer Jimmy Collins. He will be seen as Jamie Wellerstein in the upcoming film adaptation of Jason Robert Brown's semi-autobiographical musical, The Last Five Years. Check out some pictures of Jordan and co-star Anna Kendrick on the movie set.

Hunter Emmett Burke: Jonathan Groff. I feel like he has a big enough fan-base to attract viewers. He also has a nice résumé full of broadway credits and has been in some pretty big projects in Hollywood including Frozen, Glee, and a new HBO series he will be starring in called Looking. I think he is a good candidate.
Anthony Nufrio Jr.: Jonathan Groff.
Sandile Mhlaba: MJT, Jonathan Groff, or Jeremy Jordan.
Groff originated the role of Melchior Gabor in the rock-musical Spring Awakening in 2006, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. He can be heard as the voice of Kristoff in the Disney/Pixar film "Frozen" and will be the star of the HBO original series, "Looking."
