Chelsey Robichaud: Roger and Mimi.
Sami DeSocio: Roger and Mimi.
Amy C. Rogers: Roger and Mimi from RENT
Anna Dufour: MIMI AND ROGER!
The characters Roger Davis and Mimi Marquez, originally played on Broadway by Adam Pascal and Daphne Rubin-Vega, are based on the characters Rodolfo and Mimí from Puccini's La Bohéme. Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize-winning Rent, however, has a happier ending: Mimí succumbs to illness at the end of La Bohéme.
Jim Waldfogle: Hands down, Nathan Detroit and Miss Adelaide. A love that lasted through the years, even if there rough patches along the way. ("You promise me this, you promise me that...").
Barbara Ann McFadden: Nathan and Adelaide!!
Michelle Blaer: I am a big fan of Adelaide and Nathan from Guys and Dolls.
Lois Rubin Gross: Ms. Adelaide and Nathan Detroit.
Guys and Dolls opened on Broadway in 1950 with Sam Levene and Vivian Blaine in the rolls of Nathan Detroit and Miss Adelaide. A Tony-winning revival featured Tony winners Nathan Lane and Faith Prince in those same roles. In 2009 Lauren Graham, of the WB Network series "Gilmore Girls," made her Broadway debut in the role of Miss Adelaide in the most recent Broadway staging of the classic musical comedy.
Hunter K. Taylor: I have to say The Phantom and Christine Daae. Yes, the relationship is a little unconventional, but it's filled with love and passion, nonetheless. Pair that with beautiful music, and you've got a winner!
Jo Carol Hopkins: Christine and Phantom
Andrea Cieza: Christine and The Phantom.
Tracey Chiriboga: The Phantom and Christine!
Cindy Butts: The Phantom and Christine.
Richard Ritzman: The Phantom and Christine.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway's longest-running production, is based on the Gaston Leroux novel of the same title. The plot is centered around the mysterious Phantom, who becomes obsessed with opera singer Christine Daae, who is in love with the young theatre patron Raoul.
Carmen Richter: Aida and Radames.
Sarah Elizabeth Meehan: Aida and Radames.
Andrea Chilkiewicz: Aida and Radames. They died together and they found one another again, after so many lifetimes. It's cheesy, yes, but I adore that last moment on stage when you see the man and woman draw closer to one another in front of the tomb and you just know it will end happily for them.
A Broadway musical version of the classic Giuseppe Verdi opera, Aida opened in 2000 and won four Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score, and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. This Walt Disney Theatrical production originally starred Heather Headley and Adam Pascal as the doomed lovers.
Gigi Potter: Angel and Collins (RENT)
Daniel Jackson: Angel and Collins from RENT
Alexandra Daisy King: Collins and Angel; their love was one of the best loves.
Chiharu Soma: My favorite couple is Angel and Collins from RENT.
Angel Schunard and Tom Collins, from Jonathan Larson's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent, are based on the characters Schaunard and Colline, respectively, from Puccini's La Bohéme; however, in the opera Schaunard and Colline are not lovers. On Broadway the roles of Angel and Collins were originated by, respectively, Tony winner Wilson Jermaine Heredia and Jesse L. Martin.
Gigi Potter: Fiyero and Elphaba.
Verionica R. Sniezek: Elphaba and Fiyero
Kelley Manson: Elphaba and Fiyero with their hidden love was pretty sexy.
Sarah Coradi: Wicked's Elphaba and Fiyero.
Idina Menzel and Norbert Leo Butz orginiated the roles of Elphaba and Fiyero in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked, based on the Gregory Maguire novel "Wicked: The Lief and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West." The long-running, international hit musical continues at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre.
Richard Ritzman: Eliza and Higgins
My Fair Lady tells the story of Professor Henry Higgins, who falls in love with Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl he tries to turn into a "lady" by teaching her to speak proper English. Based on the play Pygmalian by George Bernard Shaw, the musical version of this classic love story bowed on Broadway in 1956 with a cast led by Julie Andrews and Rex Harrison.
