Playbill.com polled our readers via Facebook and Twitter asking them to share what show Colfer should star in and why.

Here are some of our reader responses followed by our own commentary.

*

@lizsquirrels: He would be perfect as Elder Price in @BookofMormon!!!
@corinne_allison: I agree about Book of Mormon. He would be a wonderful Elder Price. Also Seymour in Little Shop
@alexbly: Elder Price

The Book of Mormon, which opened in March 2011, took home nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and originally starred Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells as Elder Cunningham and Elder Price, respectively. We also think that Colfer would be great for Elder McKinley, the role originated on Broadway by Rory O'Malley. Check out our 2011 Playbill Picks feature in which our staff picked ten "Glee" stars we'd like to see on Broadway.

@bitterkurtstan: Fiyero in Wicked or Elder Price in Book of Mormon!!
Nik Cassin: Boq in Wicked most definitely, he'd be a cute munchkin no doubt about it The international hit musical Wicked currently stars Derek Klena as Fiyero and Michael Wartella as Boq. Both actors are making their Broadway debuts in Wicked, and we'd love to have Colfer also make his Main Stem dbeut in the musical. Read Playbill.com's recap of Wicked's tenth anniversary performance.

@itza322: should a re-make of Little Shop of Horrors!!! I would LOVE to see him play Seymour!!! <3
Logan Frederick: Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors Little Shop of Horrors, based on the 1960s cult horror film of the same name, made its Broadway bow in 2003 with Hunter Foster as its Seymour, the nerdy florist's clerk who gets fame, fortune and the girl of his dreams with the help of his man-eating plant, Audrey II. Perhaps Lea Michele could star as Audrey opposite Colfer? Read the Playbill Poll where readers pick Michele's next musical role.

@GleeFlashmob_11: would be a great "Tom Wingfield" in "The Glass Menagerie". Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie is currently playing at Broadway's Booth Theatre, with Zachary Quinto as the play's Tom. The critically acclaimed revival also stars Cherry Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger and Brian J. Smith.

Disney
@thewishingspell: Pinocchio!!
@colferisanangel: I think @chriscolfer should star in a stage production of Pinocchio. But like, sexy Pinocchio. Colfer, who shows a striking resemblance to the famed Disney character Pinocchio, previously tweeted, "Dear Disney on Broadway, I fully accept your offer to be Pinocchio…as soon as you ask." If Disney has plans to adapt the classic film for the stage, Colfer would seemingly be a perfect choice.

@PeytonPittman: Priscilla Queen of the Desert OR Newsies! Colfer has demonstrated his dancing abilities on the Fox series "Glee," so we're sure that he has what it takes to play a newsboy in the Disney musical Newsies. The musical, currently at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre, took home the 2012 Tony Award for Best Choreography (Christopher Gattelli).

@irinafanarraga: he's always said he loved Gabe from N2N, so maybe he can play that role in a future revival?
@gavehimmyword: He'd be an incredibly funny Elder Price in BoM! Sad N2N isn't on anymore but he'd have killed Gabe
@nicolep_3: @n2nbroadway NEXT TO NORMAL revival!!! He'd be a wonderful Gabe! The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal, featuring a Tony-winning score by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, starred Broadway heartthrob Aaron Tveit as Gabe. If not Next to Normal, maybe Kitt and Yorkey can fit Colfer into their upcoming Broadway show, If/Then?

@GleeFlashmob_11: @chriscolfer would be an amazing "Angel" in Rent. For obvious reasons.
@aep67: Mark in Rent, Pinocchio & his version of Sweeny Todd: Shirley Todd! Really I'd love to see him in anything on stage. Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Rent opened in 1996 and ran on Broadway through September 2008. We'd love to see the musical back on Broadway with Colfer as one of the bohemian artists struggling to pay rent in the East Village.

@Brittany_GR: Emcee from Cabaret. Roundabout Theatre Company will revive the Tony Award-winning production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall's Cabaret in 2014. Alan Cumming is slated to re-create his Tony-winning performance, but if and when he departs the production, Colfer would be well suited to step in.

@jonnyfullofglee: he'd make a great Jack in Into The Woods! He's just got the look and would sing a great Giants In The Sky.
@Lydia_Granger: Into the Woods. I wanna see him sing about giants in the sky. The original Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods opened in 1987 and starred Ben Wright as Jack. After the star-studded film adaptation is released, maybe the classic musical can be revived on Broadway.

Lea Passione: J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying I think he would be wonderful singing that score. The 2011 Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying starred Daniel Radcliffe as window washer J. Pierrepont Finch, who makes his way up the corporate ladder. Following his run in the musical, Colfer's "Glee" co-star Darren Criss took over, and Gleeks flocked to the theatre.
