Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which currently stars Taye Diggs, recently announced its closing date on Broadway with plans to open in London. Playbill.com took to social media to ask its readers who they thought would be the best fit for Hedwig's wig and heels on the other side of the Atlantic.

Previous Broadway Hedwigs include Neil Patrick Harris, who won a Tony Award for the role, Andrew Rannells, Michael C. Hall, co-creator John Cameron Mitchell and Darren Criss.

Hedwig composer Stephen Trask joined in the conversation on Twitter. 

 

Eddie Redmayne played Marius in the film adaptation of "Les Misérables" and Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything," earning an Oscar for his work in the latter. Redmayne won the 2012 Tony for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play for his performance as Ken in Red. It was recently announced that he will star in the film adaptation of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," a spin-off of J.K. Rowling's popular "Harry Potter" series.

Darren Criss recently appeared as Hedwig on Broadway alongside Rebecca Naomi Jones as Yitzhak. He is most well-known for his portrayal of Blaine, an openly gay Warbler, on "Glee."
