Polls   Who Should Star Opposite Sydney Lucas in The Secret Garden Concert?

It was recently announced that Sydney Lucas will star as Mary Lennox in Manhattan Concert Productions' concert staging of The Secret Garden, the musical based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, at Lincoln Center Feb. 21, 2016. Playbill.com took to social media to see who its readers thought should star opposite the young actress.

It comes as no surprise that Daisy Eagan was the first (and most frequent) response to this poll. Eagan won a Tony Award for her performance as Mary Lennox in the original Broadway production of The Secret Garden in 1991. To date, she is the youngest actress ever to win a Tony Award.

In The Secret Garden Martha is a servant who befriends young Mary. The role was originated on Broadway by two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser, who can be heard on the original cast recording singing "Hold On."

Eagan added to the conversation with this tweet (a hint, perhaps?):
