The 9:30 PM concert, which will be held April 14 at 54 Below, will showcase original music from Lyons and Pakchar's pop/R&B catalogue.
Lyons and Pakchar began collaborating while touring with The Book of Mormon. Lyons, who handles lyrics and music, is a Broadway actor who currently appears in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and has performed in Rent and Dreamgirls. Pakchar, a guitarist and composer who has played for the Broadway productions of Wicked, Book of Mormon and Newsies, provides orchestration and additional music. The two are developing a musical entitled '79, inspired by the score of "#LOVE."
Thompson will also perform at the April 14 concert, where she will be joined by Tony winner Lillias White (The Life, Fela), Ben Platt ("Pitch Perfect," The Book of Mormon), Naturi Naughton (3LW, "Notorious," "Fame"), Tony nominee Robin De Jesus (In the Heights), Christine Dwyer (Wicked), Mykal Kilgore (Motown), Nic Rouleau (The Book of Mormon), Felicia Boswell (Memphis), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Tamika Sonja Lawrence (If/Then), Daniel Torres (Evita), John Brink (Les Misérables), Nik Alexander (Priscilla Queen of the Desert national tour), Bradley Greer (Altar Boyz national tour), Melody Madarasz (Mr. Chickees Funny Money), J. Hoard and more.
