Queen of the Mist, presented by Off-Broadway's Transport Group, will begin performances Oct. 18 at The Gym at Judson Memorial Church, prior to an official opening Nov. 6. Here, Playbill Video meets the cast and creative team as they dive into rehearsals for the new Michael John LaChiusa musical about a lady daredevil who survives a plunge over Niagara Falls.

Tony Award nominee Mary Testa (On the Town, 42nd Street, First Lady Suite, See What I Wanna See) stars as Annie Edson Taylor, the 63-year-old daredevil who became the first person to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel and live to tell about it. She is joined by D.C. Anderson (The Phantom of the Opera), Stanley Bahorek (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Theresa McCarthy (Titanic), Julia Murney (Wicked), Andrew Samonsky (South Pacific) and Tally Sessions (The House of Blue Leaves).

Transport Group artistic director Jack Cummings III directs the production, which plays a limited engagement through Nov. 20.
