News Playbill Video's "Mentor Mondays" Web Series Will Go Into the Rehearsal Room With Up-and-Comers and Established Artists Trevor McQueen, who has been seen on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, teams up with Playbill.com to present the "Mentor Mondays" web series, which pairs an up-and-coming composer or singer with an established artist and follows their journey to the Birdland stage.

"Mentor Mondays," created by McQueen — a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University — is a segment of Jim Caruso's Cast Party, which is held every Monday at 9:30 PM at Birdland.

The "Mentor Mondays" web series will follow the rehearsal process of the composer's work leading up to the Birdland performance.

The upcoming "Mentor Mondays" segment will feature Tony Award nominee Michael McElroy, who has been seen on Broadway in Next to Normal, Rent, The Wild Party, Big River, The Who's Tommy, High Roller Social Pleasure Club and more, alongside songwriters Alison Holman and Caleb Collins (Freedom's Song).

Jim Caruso's Cast Party, according to Birdland, "has been the spot for the Broadway, jazz and cabaret communities to celebrate each other with impromptu performances. Every Monday night at 9:30, Caruso, along with Billy Stritch and the Cast Party Symphony Orchestra, host a three-hour open mic/variety show at Birdland that has been called 'musical come-what-mayhem!'"
