News Playbill.com Seeks Photo Editor/Editorial Assistant Playbill.com, an internationally-known website devoted to the American theatre, is seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented individual to join the staff as the full-time (40 hours/week) Photo Editor/Editorial Assistant.

Duties include:
- choosing, scanning, preparing and posting photos and images for news stories
- archiving of all photos and related materials
- writing daily "Photo Call" and occasional "Marquee Value" features
- seeking out, interviewing, hiring and supervising of interns
- filing of press clippings
- maintaining computer help desk, which includes troubleshooting software and Mac hardware problems, installing software and setting up computers, office networking
- data entry and maintenance (job listings board, national tour listings, online Who's Who, press contacts, Theatre Central links)
- small amount of telephone customer service for purchased job listings

Requirements:
- typing 40+wpm
- Microsoft Office skills
- some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- good spelling and writing skills
- affinity for computers
- fast learner
- enthusiasm for theatre news and information

Other job details
- postion available immediately (some flexibility)
- job is located in Woodside, Queens (close to 7 and R subway lines)
- this is NOT a staff writing/reporting position
- on the job training provided for the technical aspects of position, but only applicants with a technical inclination will be given serious consideration in the screening process
- salary comparable to starting salary for office work
- candidates should have a hard-copy resume and be available for the interview process
