Jeff Bowen
Jeff Bowen

Full given name: Jeffrey Wayne Bowen
Hometown: I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but did most of my growing up in North Ft. Myers, Florida.
Zodiac sign: Virgo. Completely.
Audition song/monologue: "Touch & Go" from How Now, Dow Jones. Monologue is the same, I just speak it instead.
Special skills: Collecting. I collect better than anyone I know. Some of my collections are Disney pins (attractions and rides), Wonder Woman comic books, Superhero T-shirts (I wear a size small), and cast recordings. I also make a mean crab cake.
First Broadway show ever saw: Aspects of Love, and I loved every aspect of it!
If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? The Golden Apple
Favorite show tune: A five-way tie between: "September Song" from Knickerbocker Holiday, "Will He Like Me?" from She Loves Me, "The Light in the Piazza" from The Light in the Piazza, "It's Today" from Mame and "Six Months Out of Every Year" from Damn Yankees
MAC or PC? 2 PCs, but sometimes jealous of my mac friends — until they're trying to figure out why they can't get their iPhoto to work properly.
Most played song on your iPod: Tie: "Lila Tremaine" from Fade Out/Fade In and "Human Touch" by Rick Springfield
One CD you couldn't live without: This is a toughy, but probably my Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hair
Last book you read: I thought about lying and saying something that was hip and hot on the best-seller lists, but truth be told, it was "The Princeton Field Guide to the Birds of the West Indies."
Must-see TV show: "Ace of Cakes" because it reminds me of [title of show] a little bit: A bunch of quirky friends running around doing something they love and care about. Plus, sometimes I get to hear a nice, juicy Baltimore accent, hon'.
Last good movie you saw: "Tootsie": The [tos] gang is obsessed with it and we quote it all the time.
Favorite board game: Oh, I also collect board games. I have about 60. Obsessive much? Faves include: Puerto Rico, The Downfall of Pompeii, For Sale, O Zoo Le Mio, and a bunch of others that you've never heard of. I'll be having a game-hour* in my dressing room between my shows on the weekend. *Also known as "nerd hour."
Performer you would drop everything to go see: Duran Duran
Pop culture guilty pleasure: Duran Duran
First stage kiss: Lori Trotter in my high school production of Guys & Dolls. She was Adelaide to my Nathan.
Favorite pre-show meal: Sushi is the best way for me to become unhangry before or after a show.
How you got your Equity card: [title of show] at the Vineyard!
Worst flubbed line/missed cue/onstage mishap: During "Die Vampire, Die!," Hunter, Heidi and I have three lines that are about the voices in our heads that say mean things to us. They're said quickly (one right after the other) and the order is: Hunter: Your teeth need whitening./ Heidi: You went to state school?/ Jeff: You sound weird. During one particular show at the Vineyard, Heidi accidentally stole my line and it came so quickly that I couldn't remember hers, so this is how it played out: Hunter: Your teeth need whitening./ Heidi: You sound weird./ Jeff: You taste funny.
Worst costume ever: I was a dancing pillow in a children's theatre production of Aladdin once. I should say that even though it was totally unflattering, it made it unbelievably comfortable to lounge around/nap backstage.
Favorite cereal: Healthy cereal: Go Lean. Healthy Kidz Cereal: Peanut Butter Bumpers. Guilty Pleasure: Lucky Charms. Tasty Sawdust Cereal of choice: Golden Grahams.
Worst job you ever had: I was a TGIFriday's waiter for a couple of weeks, but I had to quit because it made me cry during the night.
Who would play you in the movie? Probably me if I'm not too old. Tobey Maguire would be a good Jeff, I think. Or Shia LaBeouf.
