Duff's film work includes roles in movies such as "Napoleon Dynamite," "Addams Family Reunion" and "Material Girls." On the small screen, she portrayed Sandy Jameson on the long-running series "7th Heaven."

Theatre fans may know her best for her 2006 Broadway debut performance as Amber in Hairspray and as the host of MTV's "Legally Blonde, the Search for the Next Elle Woods."

Full given name: Haylie Katherine Duff
Hometown: Houston, Texas!
Zodiac Sign: Pisces / Aquarius. I’m on the cusp, but I believe I’m more of a Pisces.
Audition song/monologue: It's usually material from whatever project I’m auditioning for.
Special skills: I’m very domestic! I love cooking, gardening, painting and throwing pottery. And I think I’m a pretty good mom to my three dogs: Bentley, Rocco and Birdie.
First Broadway show ever saw: Grease. Rosie O’Donnell was in it, and my sister and I wore poodle skirts to the theatre. They had a "twist" contest before the show and we won! My mom likes to say THAT was my first time on Broadway.

If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? I’m more excited about the performers so I would probably choose to see something that starred Marlon Brando or Elizabeth Taylor. I would have loved to see Meryl Streep and John Cazale doing Shakespeare in the Park.
Current show you have been recommending to friends: Since our show schedules are all the same, I haven’t had a chance to see many shows while I’ve been here. I would like to see Promises, Promises... and Time Stands Still when it reopens.
Favorite show tune: “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray. It brings back so many wonderful feelings for me.
The one performance – attended - that you will never forget: A few years ago my boyfriend and I took his grandmother, who lives in New Jersey, to see Jersey Boys. It’s such an unbelievable show, with a wonderful cast, and the actors just killed it!!

Watching her relive her experiences growing up in Jersey was really special. She sang every word to the songs, right along with them.
MAC or PC? MAC girl, all the way.
Most played song on your iPod: I love Pandora. It’s an application on the iPhone that will make playlists for you based on an artist you like. I tend to workout to Jay-Z radio, but I also listen to a lot of Ray Lamontange.
Web obsession: I tend to get caught up on sites like Huffington Post and Net-a-Porter.
Last book you read: I love to read! The last book I read was “My Life in France” by Julia Child, which is a beautiful book. About a year ago, I read Ellen Burstyn’s book, “Lessons in Becoming Myself.” It’s one of my all-time favorites. Penny Fuller just suggested “The Art of Racing in the Rain,” so I think I’ll read that next.

Must-see TV show: The new season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “Eastbound and Down.”
Last good movie you saw: My boyfriend Nick just introduced me to “Arthur.” That was pretty genius.
Performer you would drop everything to go see: Meryl Streep or Judi Dench.
Pop culture guilty pleasure: “Celebrity Rehab” with Dr. Drew. I can’t believe I just admitted I watch that [laughs].
First CD/Tape/LP you owned: Ace of Base. And Alanis Morisette's first album, “Jagged Little Pill.” I still think it’s an amazing record.
Favorite pre-show and post-show meal: I’m a sandwich girl, so on my way home from the theatre I like to stop at a bodega and pick up a sub. I don’t really eat much before, maybe a salad or something. During Hairspray I was hooked on this spicy tortilla chicken soup from a small Mexican restaurant down the street. I would have it delivered to the stage door and eat it during intermission!

Most memorable onstage role as a child or teenager: I wasn’t able to experience the stage until I was 21 years old.
Worst onstage mishap: I’ve been really lucky and haven’t had any nightmare experiences. I messed up a bit of choreography once in Hairspray, but my character Amber Von Tussle was always doing her own thing so I just went with it.
Pre-show rituals: A yoga teacher once taught me a "shake out" method; I get my hands and feet moving a bit to release some adrenaline. I also do some vocal warm-ups.
Favorite junk food: Classic New York City pizza.
Worst job you ever had: I’ve been really blessed to have never had a job that I hated. I usually find joy in almost everything I do.
TV or commercial gig you most enjoyed: Playing Sandy on “7th Heaven.” She was a great girl, and I met one of my best friends working on that show.
Musical theatre role you are dying to play: I would love to do Hair and Chicago.
Three things you can't live without: My loved ones, sushi and an eyebrow pencil.
"I'll never understand why…" I’m always running late.
