News Playwright Explores Reasons to Be Neil LaBute at 92YTribeca Feb. 18 Playwright and director Neil LaBute will discuss his work at 92YTribeca as part of a Feb. 18 evening entitled Reasons to Be Neil LaBute.

LaBute, who will make his Broadway playwrighting debut in March with reasons to be pretty, will discuss his career and creative process as a playwright, screenwriter and director. The evening will begin at 7:30 PM. LaBute's plays include The Mercy Seat, The Distance From Here, Fat Pig, In a Dark Dark House, Autobahn, bash: latter-day plays, The Shape of Things, and the films "In the Company of Men," "Your Friends and Neighbors," "Nurse Betty," "Possession" and "Wicker Man."

Marin Ireland, Steven Pasquale, Piper Perabo and Thomas Sadoski have been announced to star in the Broadway production of LaBute's reason's to be pretty, which begins performances March 13 at the Lyceum Theatre.
