The latest play by Naomi Iizuka, Aloha, Say the Pretty Girls, will be read at a June 21 event sponsored by the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts and held at the Great Hall at Cooper Union (7th Street and Third Avenue in Manhattan). Naomi Iizuka's Aloha was produced at the 1999 Humana Festival at the Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Other plays by Iizuka include: Polaroid Stories (commissioned by En Garde Arts), Skin and Tattoo Girl. Her plays have been produced by Soho Rep, Dallas Theatre Center, Sledgehammer Theatre, Printer's Devil, Annex Theatre, Intersection for the Arts and San Francisco's Magic Theatre.

Admission to the reading is free.
