News Playwright Suzan-Lori Parks Will Be Inducted into New York Foundation for the Arts' Hall of Fame Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, who is currently represented on Broadway with The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, will be inducted into the New York Foundation for the Arts Hall of Fame April 30 at Espace in Manhattan.

The NYFA Hall of Fame benefit, scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM, will also honor architects Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio, who will be introduced by Nicholas Baume; multi-media artist Christian Marclay, who will be introduced by Adam D. Weinberg; and patron of the arts Ben Rodriguez-Cubeñas, who will be introduced by Darren Walker.

Parks will be introduced by The Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis.

Parks, who is credited with adaptation and additional scenes for Porgy and Bess, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2002 for her Broadway play Topdog / Underdog. For more on Parks' theatrical history, visit the Playbill Vault.
