News Playwrights Kushner, Mee and Fondakowski Talk at Berkeley Rep "Page to Stage" Events in 2005 Scribes Tony Kushner, Charles Mee and Leigh Fondakowski take part in "Page to Stage" conversations at Berkeley Repertory Theatre.

The three free events slated for the new year do not require tickets, however general admission seating is limited. Each talk begins at 7 PM with doors opening at 6:45 PM.

The "Page to Stage" series of free discussions focuses on "eminent theatre artists" and is offered three times each year, offering audiences insight into the plays and playwrights produced at Berkeley Rep.

The 2005 Page to Stage line-up is as follows:

  • Jan. 14 - Berkeley Rep artistic director Tony Taccone (bridge & tunnel) leads a talk with playwright Tony Kushner (Angels in America), timed to complement the Jan. 18 opening of Kushner's Caroline, or Change, presented by Best of Broadway in association with Berkeley Rep.

  • Jan. 24 - Big Love collaborators playwright Charles L. Mee and director Les Waters talk of their latest creation, the world premiere of Fêtes de la Nuit, opening at The Roda Theatre Feb. 2.
  • May 2 - The Laramie Project collaborator Leigh Fondakowski discusses the world premiere of Stories from Jonestown and the Peoples Temple which she penned and directs for an April 20 open at Berkeley Rep.
