Flesh and Blood is adapted by Peter Gaitens from the novel by Michael Cunningham (Pulitzer Prize winning "The Hours"). The story follows three generations of an American family over 100 years from the 1930 New York arrival of a Greek immigrant through the dreams and change. Doug Hughes (Scattergood) directs the production. The design team includes Christine Jones (sets), Paul Tazewell (costumes), Scott Zielinski (lighting) and David Van Tieghem (sound).
Actress Jones recently played in the Broadway production of Imaginary Friends. Plimpton, known for roles in such films as "The Goonies," was last seen in David Mamet's Boston Marriage at the Public Theatre. Hecht, who has appeared on television's "Friends," played in this season's Off-Broadway run of Janusz Glowacki's The Fourth Sister. Weiss has played on Broadway in The Invention of Love, The Iceman Cometh and Ivanov. More casting will be announced shortly.
