News Pop-Up Musicals To Take Over New York City Today Make Music New York returns with a mix of free outdoor concerts on June 21, celebrating the first day of summer. As part of the event, a special inaugural Pop-Up Musicals Project brings classic musical theatre shows to iconic parks and locations throughout Manhattan.

Spilling out of a u-haul truck, the troupe, including a band, will perform well-known numbers from the following shows: Funny Girl, Guys and Dolls, The Last Five Years, West Side StoryHairAvenue Q, A Chorus Line, Follies, Hello Dolly!, Sweet Charity, and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

The performances take place at the following times and locations throughout the day:

11:00 AM – Richard Tucker Square (Broadway and W. 66th St)
12:00 PM – Central Park (Center Drive and Central Park South)
1:00 PM – Times Square (“Anita’s Way” passage btwn 42nd & 43rd)
3:00 PM – Worth Square @ Madison Square Park (Broadway and W. 25th)
4:00 PM – Herald Square (Broadway and W. 34th)
5:00 PM – Jackson Square (W. 13th St and 8th Ave)
6:00 PM – Daryl Roth Theatre (Union Square at E. 15th)
