The Pope Theatre Company of Manalpan, FL, currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, presents the world premiere of Staci Swedeen's Three Forks, running through April 6.

In Forks, Swedeen shares some of her experiences growing up in Montana, through the story of three elderly sisters who wrestle with everything from the past, the present, each other and their daughters, who in turn, contend with their own relationships.

Three Forks received a full staged reading at the Pope Theatre's Monday Night Series last season. After Three Forks was very well received at the reading, Managing Producer Jeff Dannick said that "We were able to get with the playwright and discuss some possible revisions. . . some of them have been incorporated in the play." The process was also enhanced by Director Gail Garrison, who has been acquainted with Swedeen for 10 years. Garrison directed the reading and then they got together and reworked it.

Three Forks was also read in Charlotte Rep's 1996 New Plays in America festival, as well as at the Mint Theatre in NY, with Kim Hunter and Bob Emmet.
