News Pow! Last Life, a "Fightsical," Will Have Encore Run at Ohio Theatre in March Eric Sanders' Last Life, described as a new "fightsical" — that is, a play in which the characters fight rather than sing when emotions peak — will play March 4-14 at The Ohio Theatre, the downtown Manhattan venue known for off-beat work.

The Ohio, it was recently announced, will close in August. Soho Think Tank will present the Last Life in collaboration with Big Time Action Theatre. The Ohio engagement follows a sold-out and extended run at the Fight Fest at the Brick Theatre in December and January.

Last Life was co-conceived by Sanders and Timothy Haskell, who will direct this production. The cast will include Taimak Guarriello (also known as Taimek, who starred in the fight film "The Last Dragon"), Aaron Haskell, Soomi Kim, Jo-Anne Lee, Margaret Macdonald and Alyxx Wilson.

The creative team will include Paul Smithyman (sets), Garin Marschall (lighting), Candice Thompson (costumes), Ariella Goldstein (sound) and Gino Barzizza (animation and video).

According to press notes, the play takes place "in a borderless, burnt-out world the few remaining inhabitants are at the end of a long, indefinable war. The survivors, not knowing what they are even fighting for, vow to destroy each other and wrest control of what remains."

The Ohio Theatre is located at 66 Wooster Street. For tickets, call (212) 868-4444 or visit smarttix.com.
