The Center Theatre Group partnered with Broadway producer Joey Parnes to revive the Tony Award-winning 1992 Gershwin musical that will be directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (The Producers, Show Boat, Contact). Stroman won the first of her five Tony Awards for choreographing the original Broadway production of Crazy for You.

Further details surrounding the postponement were not announced. Crazy for You, with music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a book by two-time Tony Award nominee Ken Ludwig, is based on the 1930 musical Girl Crazy. The 1992 Broadway production was directed by the late Mike Ockrent.

“We remain excited to see this new production of Crazy For You in the future," CTG Artistic Director Michael Ritchie said in a statement.
