Primary Stages has announced the selection for the 7th annual ESPA Drills, a developmental play program that provides staged readings for four playwrights at the Lucille Lortel Theatre Off-Broadway.

The readings take place August 15 and 16 and are free and open to the public. The selected plays are Surfacing by Mike Poblete with direction by Carolyn Cantor; Rapture2K by Daniel McCoy with direction by Morgan Gould; The Call Center by Joshua Strauch with direction by Gregg Wiggans; and Montgomery by Stephen Brown with direction by Suzanne Agins.

The scripts, written at the Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA) under the guidance of professional playwrights, were selected by blind submission.

The casts feature Jeanette Bonner, Rachel Lin, Kristin Parker, Neil Tyrone Pritchard, Michael McCorry Rose, Erin Healani Chung, Matthew Dunivan, Ramon O. Torres, Sonia Nam, Nairoby Otero, Frank Paiva, Vanessa Pereda-Felix, Steve Remeika, Danielle Elizabeth Sacks, Diana Cherkas, Talaura Harms, Brian Keane, Jessica Luck, Alfredo Narcisco, Brian Quijada and Kara Young.
