The actress fills in for cast member Vanessa Aspillaga who had to leave town due to a family emergency, a spokesperson said. No return date for Aspillaga was announced. Grays (Well) will join Jane Alexander, Lynn Cohen and the cast that also features Jack Gilpin, Julie Halston, David Margulies and Rob Riley.

Michael Wilson (Dividing the Estate) directs the work scheduled to run through May 2. Previews began March 24 and the show officially opened April 9.

In Chasing Manet, according to Primary Stages, "a rebellious painter from a distinguished family in Boston and an ebullient Jewish woman with a huge adoring family form an unlikely bond. Inside the confining walls of Mount Airy Nursing Home, the two plot an escape to Paris aboard the QE2. But can they possibly pull it off amidst the chaos of their surroundings? The tension and comedy grow as they struggle to take wing for the last time."

The design team includes Tony Straiges (set), David C. Woolard (costume), Howell Binkley (light) and John Gromada (sound). Susie Cordon serves as production stage manager.

Tickets for Chasing Manet at the 59E59 Theaters (located at 59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues) are available by calling (212) 279-4200. For more information visit primarystages.com.
