The life of the late producer-press agent Jean Dalrymple, who died Nov. 15, 1998, will be remembered at a ceremony 5 PM Jan. 14, 1999 at City Center, the nonprofit New York City producing and presenting organization she helped found in 1943.

Ms. Dalrymple, who was 96 when she died, began her career as a vaudeville performer, and later became a founding member of the American Theatre Wing. She was a volunteer director of publicity and a board member of City Center on 55th Street in the early 1940s and later became producer of plays and musicals there from the 1940s to the 1960s.

Among those paying tribute to Ms. Dalrymple Jan. 14 will be Barbara Cook, Jo Sullivan Loesser, Paula Laurence, Besty von Furstenberg, Rita Gam, conductor Julius Rudel, Daily News writer Howard Kissel, and City Center president and executive director Judith Daykin.

The memorial is open to the public. City Center is at West 55th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.
