The blog, which can be found online at www.godspellblog.com, details the insider's account of producing the upcoming revival. From discussions at an advertising meeting, to how many people showed up at the open call, to the first time Davenport saw the costume sketches, "Day by Day: The Producer's Perspective" will feature exclusive insight, pictures, videos and guest blogs from some of the Godspell creative team.
"One of the biggest requests I get on [my current] blog is for more of an inside view on the day-to-day of what a producer does," said Davenport in a statement. "So I created this new spinoff blog to give Godspell fans, producing fans and Broadway fans the first-ever inside perspective on what it's like to produce a show."
The Broadway revival will reunite Daniel Goldstein—making his Broadway directorial debut—and the designers of their critically acclaimed 2006 Paper Mill Playhouse conception in a new production that has been completely re-imagined for Circle in the Square. Previews begin Oct. 13, prior to an official opening Nov. 7.
