Tom McCoy, the producer of La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts in La Mirada, CA, steps into the spotlight to perform in the theatre's June 2 18 staging of the Rodgers and Hammerstein revue, A Grand Night for Singing.

McCoy is husband and theatrical business partner to Cathy Rigby (as in McCoy Rigby Entertainment). Rigby has appeared regularly at the theatre, but this is McCoy's debut there.

The two were behind the smash La Mirada revival ofPeter Pan that has been touring the country for several years (landing twice on Broadway since 1998). Before becoming La Mirada's producer in 1995, McCoy toured with Up With People and Disney, and acted in soaps, commercials, sitcoms and specials.

Alyson Reed (Cassie in the movie "A Chorus Line") directs McCoy, Tami Tappan, Jennifer Shelton, William Akey and Ruth Gotschall in the Broadway revue of songs from composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II's Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The King and I and more. Scott Harlan is musical director.

Walter Bobbie devised and directed the original 1993 Broadway staging. Orchestrations are by Michael Gibson and Jonathan Tunick. Tickets are $34.
