The reading at the Players Club in Manhattan boasts the talents of Ellen Adair, John Bolton, Daniel Davis, Adam Greer, Suzanne Grodner, Lianne Kressin, Maryann Plunkett, Krysta Rodriguez, Jay Rogers, Brian Sgambati, Lindsay Torrey, Jon Patrick Walker and Lenny Wolpe. Sidney J. Burgoyne narrates the evening, which is hosted by the New York Times' Patrick Healy. Show time is 7 PM.

David Staller directs and produces.

In Major Barbara, press notes state, "Lady Britomart (Maryann Plunkett) is determined to marry off her children, including the noble Salvation Army Major, Barbara (Krysta Rodriguez), and get them out of the house. This means reuniting with her estranged husband (Daniel Davis), a notorious arms manufacturer and one of the world's wealthiest men. What ensues is a mad comedy in which the many characters battle their way through issues of war, wealth, women's rights, religion, and a distinctly off-kilter view of 'family values.'"

The current season will continue June 21 with Village Wooing, July 19 with Man and Superman, Sept. 27 with Candida, Oct. 25 with Cap't Brassbound's Conversion, Nov. 22 with How He Lied to Her Husband and Dec. 20 with Heartbreak House.

The Project Shaw series is produced and directed by Staller, who acted with Dana Ivey in Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession at the Irish Repertory Theatre. The series intends to offer every sketch, full-length and one-act play by the late playwright.

Past participants include Blair Brown, Mark Kudisch, Kerry Butler, Tyne Daly, Jonathan Hadary, Daniel Jenkins, Rebecca Luker, Michael Cerveris, Karen Ziemba, Michele Pawk, Bruce Vilanch, Jack Gilpin and George S. Irving.
