Directed and choreographed by Will Pomerantz, Flower will run through March 2. The cast features the talents of Marcus Neville as Max, Meghan McGeary as Hannah, Nancy Anderson as Maria, Robert Petkoff as Franz, Jamie LaVerdiere as Fairytale Man, and Eric Starker and Jason Collins as the Dada Performers. The Blue Flower is a new music-theatre work from the husband and wife team of Jim and Ruth Bauer. Music, lyrics, script and videography are by Jim Bauer with artwork, story and videography by Ruth Bauer.
The Blue Flower, according to press notes, "follows the lives of four friends and lovers. Driven by voluptuous music and fanciful silent films, the haunting memories of artist Max Baumann take us on a passionate ride down the twisted rails of history, from pre-war Paris to the battlefields of WWI, the Weimar Republic, 1950's New York, and the present day."
The creative team also includes Mark Rubinstein (music direction), Nick Francone (sets), Sidney Shannon (costumes), Cory Pattak (lights) and Jeffrey Yoshi Lee (sound). The production features the work of environmental artist Bert Esenherz.
Show times are Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 PM with matinees Sundays at 3 PM.
