At the store event, at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue, three-time Tony Award nominee Luker (Show Boat, The Music Man, Mary Poppins) will be singing selections from "I Got Love: Songs of Jerome Kern," which gets released Tuesday, Jan. 29. She will then be joined by Heidi Blickenstaff, Philip Chaffin, Graham Rowat and Matthew Scott in a set of selections from the recently released studio recording of the David Loud-crafted Kern revue, The Land Where the Good Songs Go. Luker is heard on both releases. All five artists will be signing CDs.
Because Luker's album doesn't hit streets until Tuesday, customers attending the instore will need to buy the CD on site if they want a disc signed; Barnes & Noble will begin selling it a day early to accommodate need. The albums are also available at psclassics.com.
