Off-Broadway theatre companies looking for a permanent home, listen up. The Flatiron Playhouse, located on 23rd Street one block from the historic Flatiron Building, is for sale. Owner Intrinsic Marketing is moving to Los Angeles and seeks to sell the New York property.

The Flatiron Playhouse has been in Benassi's hands since 1996. Before his tenure, the space was home to the Italian American Theatre Company and known as the Duality Playhouse. A well-received revival of Bent just closed in the space. Other recent hits include The Shadowbox, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and an all-male Medea.

Besides the actual theatre space, plus two dressing rooms and an office, interested parties would also acquire all of the theatre's lighting and sound equipment, 60 velvet seats, air conditioners and all props and costumes. The asking price is $50,000 for the equipment and lease (there is monthly rent due on the space).
