News Psychological Thriller Freak Winds to Make U.S. Premiere in March The acclaimed Australian psychological thriller Freak Winds will make its U.S. premiere at the Arclight Theatre on West 71st Street.

Previews for Marshall Napier's play will begin March 17 with an official opening set for March 28. The limited engagement, also directed by and starring Napier, will play through April 22. The company also features Tamara Lovatt-Smith and Damian de Montemas. Freak Winds, according to press notes, concerns "brash young insurance salesman Henry Crumb, who is forced to take shelter in a stranger’s house during a freak storm. The mild-mannered homeowner Ernest is not interested in Crumb’s insincere sales pitch, but together with his live-in companion Myra rather indulges in displaying his own twisted intellect. A series of warped mind-games takes Crumb on a string of tantalizing twists and turns, as the smug salesman becomes a lamb to the slaughter."

The design team comprises Rie Ono (lighting design), Jeremy Chernick (set design) and Andrew Ivanov (sound design). Producers are Hair of the Dog LLC.

The Arclight Theatre is located at 152 West 71st Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues. Show times are Monday-Saturday evenings at 8 PM, Saturdays at 3 PM and Sundays at 7 PM. Tickets, priced $25, are available by calling (212) 352-3101. For more information visit www.hairofthedogny.com.
