News   Public Theater Announces Upcoming Participants in 365 Days/365 Plays Additional theatre companies have announced their participation in the Public Theater's ongoing presentation of Suzan-Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays. Eight theatre companies will present works from the cycle during the August/September schedule.

Set to participate in 365 Days/365 Plays are The Brick Theater, Inc., The Classical Theatre of Harlem, The H.A.D.L.E.Y. Players, LAByrinth Theater Company, Ma-Yi Theater Company, MUD/BONE, TADA! Youth Theater and viBe Theater Experience.

The various theatre companies will present their original interpretations of Parks' work across New York City, from Battery Park to Harlem, in addition to Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.

viBe Theater Experience will combine original music and dance elements with text to continue their mission of empowering urban teenage girls.

TADA! Youth Theater's Resident Youth Ensemble will infuse their 365 week with vaudeville-style production values.

Ma-Yi Theater Company will further their mission to produce "forward-thinking plays that essay the Asian American experience" in their 365 week. LAByrinth Theater Company will employ their inclusive, multicultural ensemble of 98 theatre artists to present a 365 week that celebrates the diversity of New York City.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem will use their 365 week to continue bringing theater and art to a culturally diverse Harlem audience.

MUD/BONE brings their 365 week to their storefront studio in the South Bronx to showcase their multidisciplinary community of artists.

The Brick Theater, Inc., best known for their large-scale collaborative projects, will present the same seven 365 texts every night for a week employing different creative teams - a total of 49 different productions.

Suzan-Lori Parks won the Pulitzer Prize for her play Topdog / Underdog, which was produced at The Public. Her other works include Fucking A, Imperceptible Mutabilities in the Third Kingdom, The America Play, Venus, The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World and In The Blood, among others.

Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis and executive director Mara Manus in association with playwright Suzan-Lori Parks and producer Bonnie Metzgar present 365 Days/365 Plays.
