News Public Theater to Offer Sad and Merry Madness Hamptons Benefit Academy and Tony Award nominee Alec Baldwin will be a special guest at the Public Theater's Sad and Merry Madness: Shakespeare on the Lawn benefit in Southampton on Aug. 9.

Presented at the residence of Roz and Richard Edelman, the evening of Sad and Merry Madness will feature an outdoor performance by members of the Public Theater's 2009 Shakespeare Lab under the direction of Barry Edelstein.

The 2009 Lab actors include Lemon Andersen, Nathan Darrow, Paloma Guzmán, Zainab Jah, Lanna Joffrey, Modesto Lacén, Rebecca Lowman, William Mapother, Leslie Silva, Ryan Brooke Taylor, Molly Ward and Victor Williams.

Baldwin has appeared on film in "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Running With Scissors," "The Departed" and the current NBC series "30 Rock." Baldwin's stage appearances include Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Twentieth Century, Loot, Trumbo, Serious Money, the benefit Short Talks on the Universe and the 1992 revival of A Streetcar Named Desire.
