The Tony Award-winning musical Next to Normal, which received the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, will play Toronto next year, according to The Star.

The Canadian paper reports that the Tom Kitt-Brian Yorkey musical will be produced by Dancap Productions. Performances are scheduled to begin in July 2011 at a Toronto venue to be announced. The engagement is part of the show's North American tour.

Next to Normal, directed by Michael Greif, arrived on Broadway in March 2009 following an Off-Broadway run at Second Stage and a regional engagement at the Arena Stage in Washington, DC.

[The musical] shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family's world intact," according to production notes.
