The punk-infused night of Southern Gothic horror known as the Pumpkin Pie Show is back Off-Off-Broadway with a new edition entitled Big Top. The evening, featuring five world premiere pieces by Clay McLeod Chapman, plays May 24-June 29 at the Red Room.

All five short works are centered around a carnival or circus and accompanied by a rock score by One Ring Zero. In one story, Pin Cushion, Walt and his wife, after ten years of marriage, find their only sexual excitement in acting out their fantasies during their knife-throwing act. IN another, Tummy Tamer, Sandleman the lion tamer has to literally fight his way out of his lion Tartooth when the big cat decides to alter their routine by eating him.

Featured in Big Top are McLeod Chapman, Hanna Cheek, Max Moore and the knife-throwing act, The Great Throwdini and Niabi.

Tickets are $15. The Red Room is located at 85 East 4th Street on the 3rd floor. For reservations, call (212) 206-1515. The Pumpkin Pie Show is on the web at http://www.pumpkinpieshow.com.
