News Q's D'Abruzzo, Bee's Howard and More Set for Broadway Bound V; Callaway Hosts The fifth annual Bound for Broadway concert will be held June 6 at Merkin Concert Hall.

Bound for Broadway offers theatregoers a chance to hear works from up-n-coming musical theatre writers. Previous concerts have spotlighted the songs of Avenue Q's Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and The Musical of Musicals' Joanne Bogart. This year's concert will be hosted by Liz Callaway and will feature the talents of Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Lisa Howard, Richard Todd Adams, Donna Lynne Champlin, Perry Ojeda, Julie Reyburn, David Snyder and Melanie Vaughan. Seven Broadway shows in development will be spotlighted at the 8 PM concert. Among those musicals are Heaven Knows, which features book, music and lyrics by Charles Bloom; and Marty, with a score by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams and a book by Rupert Holmes.

Host Liz Callaway, most recently on Broadway in The Look of Love, made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, and she also took part in the anniversary concert of that musical. For her work in the musical Baby, she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and her other Broadway credits include The Three Musketeers, Miss Saigon and Cats. Callaway's solo recordings include "The Beat Goes On," "Anywhere I Wander—Liz Callaway Sings Frank Loesser" and "The Story Goes On."

Merkin Concert Hall is located in Manhattan at 129 West 67th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. Tickets, priced at $30, are available by calling (212) 501-3330 or by visiting www.kaufman center.org.
