Jai Rodriguez, the culture maven of TV's "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy," steps into the role of Carmen Ghia beginning Nov. 1.

John Treacy Egan recently played Franz Liebkind in the hit, but is taking a break from that role in anticipation of his Max start. He joined the Broadway company in May 2002. As the Max understudy, he has performed the role numerous times. Brad Oscar will head to Washington, D.C., to play Applegate in Damn Yankees at Arena Stage.

Egan was an original company member of Jekyll and Hyde, and toured in productions of Cats and Kiss Me, Kate. Off-Broadway, he created roles in Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly! (RCA Recordings), and Bat Boy The Musical.

Rodriguez returns to Broadway where he performed the role of Angel in Rent. He also starred in the Off-Broadway hit, Zanna, Don't!, and appeared in the acclaimed concert benefit version of Hair (also on recording).

Rodriguez will also appear in the upcoming film version of The Producers.

The Producers plays the St. James Theatre and currently stars Brad Oscar (Max Bialystock), Hunter Foster (Leo Bloom), Bill Nolte (Franz Liebkind), Brad Musgrove (Carmen Ghia) and Angie Schworer (Ulla).
