News Rabe, Leight, Lonergan, Rebeck, Others Contribute to Naked Angels Issues Project Fourteen playwrights have teamed to write Armed and Naked in America: A Naked Angels Issues Project, which will be offered at the Duke on 42nd Street April 11-22.

The show, presented by The New 42nd Street and produced by Naked Angels and Dan Klores, is comprised of 14 ten-to-twelve-minute plays on the issue of war.

During the first week, each night will feature a bill of seven plays by writers such as Theresa Rebeck, Jose Rivera and Pippin Parker. The second week's seven plays are by Warren Leight, Kenneth Lonergan, David Rabe and others.

The evenings will also include music performances, short videos by sketch comedy groups, and special guests from politics, media and entertainment.

Naked Angels is a theatre collective founded in 1986 and devoted to new work. Among its many company members are Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lili Taylor and Marisa Tomei. The last Naked Angels' Issues Project prior to this one was in 2004, on the subject of democracy.
